BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN – The River (1981) ****1/2

Sicuramente uno degli album migliori di Springsteen. Si passa dal rock energico e possente dell'iniziale “The ties that bind” per arrivare al rock springstiniano di “Jackson Cage” e alla lenta e toccante “Indipendence day”. Bruce crea un suo linguaggio rock, unico, originale e a suo modo assolutamente geniale. “The river” è un'altra grande brano, ma anche “Point blank”, “Fade away” e “Stolen car” sono dei classici. Il finale è forse il momento migliore di quest'opera, con 3 brani capolavoro come “The price you pay”, “Drive all night” e “Wreck on the highway”.
